Fantastic news in the world of Kat's Pottery!! We are officially part of the Artisans Trail Network in the Lynchburg region. The trail itself is not launched yet, so if you are interested, get in now! This is a great way not only for Artists to network and congregate, but for patrons to be able to find us easier. Check in often to find more information on this trail.
Even though it was crazy cold, windy and rainy I had a blast setting up at Vintage Lynchburg. Don't get me wrong, my joints are still hurting and my head still spinning. But, there is a certain high you get when meeting customers face to face. I love talking to people about my work, and I get so excited when someone picks up a piece and just falls in love. Its kind of like when someone tells you how awesome your kid is, my pots are part of me!
Now that things have settled down, I am working on cleaning my studio and reorganizing everything. I have set up a little corner where my finished work lives. It includes an entire shelf of seconds! If you are ever interested in coming out to my studio, please don't hesitate to contact me and set up a time. I love showing off my awesome space!
This spring I have been very quiet because there are many projects that I have been working on. One of which is the "Appomattox Artisans on Main Street", a group of very talented women that invited me (yes, me!!) to be a part in and open up a store on Main Street in Appomattox, VA. Mind you it is a temporary store front, namely a "pop up" store but it is seriously exciting!
I have always wanted to branch out and open my own little place in Appomattox, but I never thought it would happen this soon. This store will be open from April 3 through April 12 at 174 Main Street. You can follow us on instagram @appomattoxartisansonmain or on facebook at Appomattox Artisans on Main!
We will have (obviously) pottery, art, photography, civil war souvenirs, jewelry, bath products, lavender products, antiques, vinyl decor, and lots more! So come check us out, and if this goes well maybe it will become more permanent.
The weather is beautiful today in Appomattox - it is almost 70 degrees outside! If you haven't already, take a trip to Baines today to see my Wall Art Show! My art is only showing until the end of February...
